Supporting schools in London: volunteering via Livery Schools Link
The Worshipful Company of Arbitrators is committed to promoting education in its widest sense and particularly in supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds who have fewer opportunities than others. This is a commitment that has been encouraged by successive Lord Mayors.
Livery Schools Link (LSL) has an online volunteering platform. Its aim is make it as easy as possible for members of livery companies to volunteer in schools. It enables volunteers easily to identify volunteering opportunities, and schools to find volunteers. Freemen and liverymen of the Company are encouraged to subscribe to this. (Members of the Company who are interested in doing so can find details in the Members’ Area of our website here.) Two of our liverymen are former chairmen of LSL.
In 2017, we were delighted to partner with Clara Grant Primary School in Bow on LSL’s World War 1 Project, Echoes Across the Century, which culminated in a major art exhibition at the Guildhall in the City of London.
